Introduction

I’ve always been obsessed with the underwater world. As a child, I begged my parents to let me scuba dive. I finally got certified when I was 26 and started freediving a few years later.

I’m fascinated by how animals and people move in the water. Late one night, about two years ago, I purchased my gear...and prepared an explanation for the resulting credit card bill.

Currently, my go-to set up is a Nikon z6ii, 14-24 f2.8s lens, and an Ikelike housing, but I have a mix of Nikon cameras that I’ll swap out depending on the shoot.

My goal is to capture my clients connecting with nature with as little interference as possible. I keep editing minimal to showcase the natural beauty of the environments where I shoot. I love to work with all sorts of clients from athletes to cosplayers to moms-to-be. It’s so fun to see the ideas someone brings to a shoot and to see those ideas realized in the final images. Shooting in water (rivers, natural springs, even pools!) can be challenging, but the results make it worth it.

As I continue growing in this field, I’d like to expand into media content for businesses, such as dive shops and ecotours. And, of course, I’m always down to add more marine life (especially different species of sharks!) to my underwater model roster.

It’s still amazing to me that this is my day job. We’re all new to this at some point, so if you want to talk more about the life of an underwater photographer or have some questions about your first shoot, just ask in the comments.
